SURELY the elected members of Durham County Council who are involved must realise that the vast majority of the taxpaying electorate will always believe that there was something “odd” about the way in which the new Durham City park-and-ride contract was awarded to Arriva (Echo, June 18), no matter what they say in mitigation.
Of some concern is how they managed to get into this messy situation in the first place, but of even more concern is their inability to get out of it.
