IF the contents of Michael Baldasera’s letter (HAS, Jan 20) about the Swiss organisation Dignitas are true, then there is even more reason to legalise assisted suicide/euthanasia in this country.
I cannot begin to imagine the suffering a person has to go through to make a choice to end their life, but I can imagine that it is made no easier by having to travel to Switzerland.
Once a person has decided to end their life, this should be respected and they should be allowed to die in a place of their choice. Perhaps then there would be some dignity.
