IN 1953, being of Scots/English origin, I and millions of young Brits, Paddies, Jocks, Taffs, Geordies, Monkey Hangers, Yorkies, Scousers and an Anglo- Indian, who was very proud of his mixed race, signed our attestation papers swearing an oath of allegiance to our Queen and country and her heirs and successors.
I still stand by that oath of allegiance, but the various branches of the media and political parties show very little loyalty to our people or head of state.
But make no mistake, because people like myself – who may have very little voice or say in matters which are allegedly done in our interests and name – are still here watching and listening, waiting for a fair and level playing field.
So just get off young Prince Harry’s back. In my opinion he is a better man than the whole bunch of back-stabbers who are only too eager to put the boot in for their own self-interest.
Sadly, as an Englishman, I no longer trust our papers or our politicians to act in the interest of the indigenous populace – only their own.

WHAT a breath of fresh air. What a change – normal people at last.
I refer to the letters of David Lacey and Peter Dolan (HAS, Page 9, Jan 13) about the Prince Harry “Paki” affair and condemning political correctness.
Thanks fellas, let’s have some more.
Dave Bell, Darlington.
