Letters: 'There were many well-respected companies offering PPE that were brushed aside for Chinese companies'

There were many British and European well-respected companies that were brushed to one side. They couldn’t even offer a quote because they weren’t on a VIP list. This is disgusting, and no one is doing anything about.

Now the Government has given us nine years before our petrol and diesel cars will be worth diddly squat. That will happen when they increase the price of petrol and diesel at the few remaining pumps to £2,000-a-gallon or more.

I once thought that unleaded fuel was the silver bullet to save the planet, but it appears just to have been a stake through the Big End.
