WHEN I was at the Spennymoor Area Action Partnership, I asked a Durham county councillor why there was a gap in the crash barriers to go into North Lodge Farm on the A167 dual carriageway near Durham City.

I received a letter from highways saying that people from the farm would have to travel to the roundabout in front of the former NESS furniture factory at Croxdale to get back to the farm which is 4.2 kilometres.

Well, he should have left his desk more and seen people doing u-turns in front of the Honest Lawyer hotel to get to the other farms and halls along there, even though there is now a roundabout where the B6200 meets the A167.

Even with the new roundabout, the gap is still in the place and I think it is dangerous for people waiting there for a break in the traffic so they can get across.

This is the farm that Dominic Cummings has a part share in and he stayed there while he had the virus.
