ONE of the things that gets to me on TV at the moment is the funeral ads.
Quite apart from the fake cheerfulness and blatant insincerity of the actors involved, I question the ethos of the whole thing.
I had electrical cover with one of those insurance companies, yet when some years ago I had an electrical breakdown (on Christmas Eve of all times) they told me in so many words to get lost.
I had been the victim of the heartless con and so will you be – or rather your loved ones – if you fall for that nauseating guff currently on TV.
