AM I the only person to notice that Durham County Council have “lost” 2,000 jobs at their proposed business park at Aykley Heads?
The council has for years now trumpeted that they would create “up to 6,000 jobs” on and around the County Hall site. Hoardings outside the building said as much.
Now the figure has been changed to “up to 4,000 jobs.”
Meanwhile, with many staff working from home, the new county hall at The Sands, Durham, could be even more of a white elephant than its critics initially warned about.
