IT has been over nine months since the Tories won the General Election by a substantial majority.

But I wonder what the result would be if a general election was held tomorrow?

The EU is now a distant memory.

Those Tories who bagged the Willy Wonka golden ticket courtesy of an election dominated by the EU now realise in politics there is no hiding place.

The Tory cabinet’s performance thus far resembles headless chickens running round a farmyard.

During the early stages of the coronavirus the warnings were there for all to see.

PM Boris Johnson failed to attend any of the early emergency Cobra meetings.

Seems he was more interested in basking in the December election glory so any action to fight a virus that might dent the Tory charge was the last thing he was entertaining.

Likewise Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who brushed the virus off as nothing more than a common cold.

Test and trace was lazily abandoned and 250,000 fans were allowed to roam free at the Cheltenham racing festival.

This was the shape of things to come. The rest, as they say, is history.

Don’t let the Government try and fool you. This shambles is their fault, not yours.
