I CAN’T believe Jeremy Whiting’s reply “Keystone cops” (HAS, Sept 14) to my asking for a legitimate answer to what Labour’s manifesto is. No-one, including Labour supporters seems to know.

He gives the childish answer that he knows, but won’t divulge the answer. Why?

It’s not a state secret, so the only conclusion that can be taken from this is Mr Whiting doesn’t know.

His other answer that the Labour Party is the party supporting Brexit, is beyond belief.

I read three papers a day, a left wing paper, a right wing paper and The Northern Echo. This gives me insight into both sides, but I can’t recall any of the papers before the election, during the election or after the election indicating Labour supported Brexit. But according to Mr Whiting, Labour is not a Remain party.

He also indicated that he believed that Brexit is a catastrophe, but only blames the UK not the EU, so what would Sir Keir Starmer do?

The only things that he can come up with is all down to hindsight, no original thoughts.

This doesn’t bode very well for the future of the Labour Party.
