YOUR review of the life of Jack Charlton was well written and covered a truly genuine sportsman and person (Echo pull-out, July 13).
One thing you did not mention was his “little black book”.
He was quoted on one occasion that he kept his little black book of players who had fouled him badly and it would remind him when next he met the player on the football field to seek retribution.
It rumbled along in the press for quite a while but it apparently appears to have been forgotten. Can anyone confirm the existence of this?
Ray McKay, Darlington.
