IMAGINE that you’re driving your car, talking to your wife or the kids, oblivious to the world around you.

There’s an ambulance on its way to an emergency.

The blue lights are flashing and the siren is sounding. You hear the siren well before you see the ambulance. You know to look out for the ambulance.

The majority of car drivers do not look out for motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians or anybody but themselves. It is due to the poor standard of driving by most car drivers in this country that I have a motorcycle with a loud exhaust. I hope it makes them look out for me.

As the saying goes: “If it saves just one life then it is worth it.” Surely a motorcyclist’s life is just as valuable as your life.
