A 14-DAY quarantine on airline arrivals to the UK must mean zero tourism. Equally no UK citizen in their right mind is going to quarantine on arrival at a foreign destination.
I doubt anyone would choose to fly long haul wearing a mask or having to book their place in the toilet queue.
Until proper safe flight can be achieved, logic would suggest the airline industry virtually faces meltdown, in addition massive outstanding orders for new planes will be deferred or cancelled altogether.
Foreign countries may continue to impose closed borders to foreign flights for a considerable time – many months, not weeks.
One assumes quarantine will also cover the super-rich Lear jet arrivals to the UK of which I understand there has been a large number over the past few months?
