I HAVE recently received a letter from the BBC informing me that TV licences will no longer be free for over 75s.
Perhaps now is the time for the Government to step in and scrap the licence for all and not just pensioners.
The money can then be given to the NHS, which deserves it more than the BBC.
If every house was given a card to pay £2 per week at a post office or such, this would generate quite a lot of money for doctors, nurses and research.
Let the BBC fund their astronomical wages by advertising, the same as other channels. I’d love to know how many of them earn over £100,000 a year – quite a few I’ll bet.
