THE daisies and buttercups on our verges have cheered me up a great deal in the last few months.
I would love it if the council would have a “No Mow May” every year from now on. It would save the council money, and brighten up the neighbourhood.
Verges are dull dead places without daisies.
The wild flowers on the verges also serve a useful purpose. They feed the bees.
We all know that we need bees to pollinate crops, now more than ever.
Finally, the time spent mowing down the daisies in this current crisis could be spent on emptying the litter bins, a service we all miss badly.
