MY thanks to The Northern Echo for helping me during the coronavirus lockdown.
I read it from the front page to the planning applications – and get very grumpy if I’m interrupted.
The Camera Club photographs are fabulous. Some very beautiful, some clever and other simply quirky.
I especially liked the one of the nest with the spanner headed birds – very realistically staged.
Grandad at Large always makes me smile. However, the highlight of the week is the Saturday Memories, very interesting. I even read the old front page from years ago. I can remember quite a lot as it happened.
My husband has his own newspaper. He says it has the best sports coverage, but I am sure he is not averse to a glance at the pretty, scantily glad girls – oops I could be in trouble if he reads this!
My Northern Echo is a much superior newspaper.
