I AM addressing this letter to anyone in the Bishop Auckland area (it could be further afield, though) who has had some large leylandii/conifer trees hedging cut down or removed recently; are you 100 per cent certain your contractor disposed of your waste legally?
Early last week my 91-year-old parents woke up to find said waste dumped in their driveway.
Is it really fair for pensioners to find nearly £270 from their pensions to dispose of someone else’s waste?
If you are having gardening work carried out, please, please, be absolutely certain where your waste is going to be disposed of and also that your contractor holds a waste carrier’s licence (if they do not have a licence they are not legally allowed to remove your garden waste).
Name and address supplied.
