PROTECTING our rural communities and beauty spots as lockdown is eased might be more effective if the authorities constructed razor wire fences around all of the towns with sentry towers to prevent escapees from travelling to and disturbing the residents of coastal resorts and beauty spots.
Those incarcerated within these towns can thus be more efficiently controlled, as opposed to the police having to divert their valuable time in travelling to the middle of nowhere to shout at a few campers.
Some of us have long memories and when these touristy places open for business again their tune will change and so might ours.
