I RESEARCH both military and civil aircraft crashes anywhere south of the River Tyne and in County Durham.
Can anyone remember a Slingsby T41 Skylark 2 glider, serial number BGA 793, which made a field landing somewhere near Whickham, Gateshead, on October 31, 1992, with damage to a wing?
Most likely this glider landed on high ground off Fellside Road and came from Northumbria Gliding Club based at Currock Hill.
Where exactly did this glider come down?
