I AM missing in my present day life, as are many other readers, the everyday pleasures we hitherto took for granted such as:

  • Attending rugby, football and cricket matches and seeing them televised;
  • Playing golf;
  • Visiting pubs and clubs in town;
  • Attending masonic meetings;
  • Attending Camra meetings;
  • Lunching out with my wife or friends;
  • Coach holidays;
  • Weekend breaks;
  • Attending darts matches;
  • Visiting friends and family;
  • Plus attending other meetings and events.

Let us hope we can all return to normality and to enjoying these pastimes by high summer and that we will take more pleasure from them having had them removed for too long.

Until then, bless The Northern Echo for being omnipresent.
