WHATEVER one’s views on Brexit, for good or ill it basically only affects the UK, whereas in contrast, climate change threatens all of mankind.
Consequently effective measures to contain and reverse climate change ought to be the highest priority for the UK Government, all our political parties, and the British people.
Unfortunately, many right-wingers are in denial over climate change, and thus the Conservative manifesto was arguably the weakest of all those put forward for the General Election on this vital issue.
Given this, and Donald Trump’s rejection of climate change, it is essential that our new Government is held to its commitments.
