IT was refreshing to read in The Northern Echo (Jan 14) "Echo to launch new edition for communities of Teesside".
As an avid reader for many years of the Echo I was beginning to wonder why the Teesside area had been kept out of the spotlight sections of this top regional newspaper.
The spotlight sections focused on most of the regions, but no spotlight section on Teesside although it's fair to say the regional news pages did cover stories in the Teesside areas.
One looks forward to the launch of the new type Northern Echo with Teesside back in the spotlight on Friday, January 24.
