G CARR ‘Clear as…’ (HAS, Nov 8 ) questions Labour’s stance on Brexit.

Brian Abbott ‘Election talk’ (HAS, Nov 11) suggests voting for the Liberal Democrats if we wish to remain in the EU, or the Conservatives if we want to leave the EU.

So here is what I want. I want jobs, the NHS, and public services, to hell with Brexit. Therefore, who do I vote for?

I agree with John Watts ‘System at fault’ (HAS, Nov 11) where he implies that the Liberal Democrats’ position is untenable, but there is no need for the other parties to give voters both a remain candidate and a leave candidate. Just vote for whoever you would vote for if there was no such thing as Brexit.

If the Conservatives are a leave party, then I will not vote for them.

The Liberal Democrats are a remain party, so I will not vote for them either.

Apart from the fact that I would never vote for either of those two parties anyway.

The Labour Party want what I want; jobs, the NHS, and public services.

Labour are focused on how we best we deliver these things, in or out of the EU.

So what if Labour’s Brexit plan is complex; Brexit is less important than jobs, the NHS, and public services.

At the end of the excellent Exit Stage Left DVD by Rush, lead singer Geddy Lee says “who we hang out with, our hairstyles; are not important”. That is a message for those people who think that those things are important. I hope that the majority of the electorate don’t cast their vote on the basis of leaving the EU or remaining in the EU.

I shall be voting Labour in the General Election: jobs, the NHS, public services first, Brexit second.
