IN your letter pages there has been posted various views on the leader of Durham County Council and his green article and the council’s agenda.
I’d like to give my thoughts on a green issue.
Consett has been designated as a travel to work area and many people have to use their cars to get to work outside the Consett area.
If the council had real interest in economic development in the area and put as much effort and resources into what it has done in other areas of County Durham, then it would reduce the need for as many people to travel and therefore reduce vehicle emissions.
David Llewellyn, Blackhill, Consett.
