UNDER normal circumstances, a General Election provides all parties the chance produce a manifesto that puts forward their respective policies for the future if elected.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, the outstanding problem over Brexit has still to be resolved and irrespective of the many domestic issues being in the forefront of perusal and debate this “elephant in the room” will loom large.

In some ways this makes the result of the election more confusing for the exit pollsters to accurately predict, as does how many of the electorate have the real desire to vote when there is so much distrust in their MPs.

All to play for seems to be an appropriate statement as many now look forward to hopefully a Happy Brexit-free New Year.
