ON October 2, whilst I was walking home from school, my uncle and I were talking about the amount of litter, and recently have picked up a few bottles, however on this day we did a full litter pick.
Once we arrived at my house in Fishburn, we decided to count and sort the rubbish and recycle what we could. There were 140 cans, 82 plastic bottles and two glass bottles.
We talked about why they drop the litter. Are the lazy? Do they not care? Do they not know? We need everyone to do their bit and recycle to help save the environment.
You wouldn’t go to your friend’s house and drop your rubbish there, so why do it in our local community? If we spread the word, hopefully something will be done about this.
