AS a leaver, I feel I must respond to Brian Fiske’s letter (HAS, Sept 4) concerning his suspicion that leavers are against a second referendum as they fear the result will be different.

Why should there be a second referendum when the result of the first one has been ignored?

Why should the result of the second one have preference?

What’s the point, when Jo Swinson, leader of the Lib Dems, states: “I will never accept Brexit, even if leave won a People’s Vote.”

As for remainers winning, although there was thousands who turned out to protest, there were millions who didn’t.
