I HAVE had numerous letters and phone calls telling me I am having a smart meter fitted.

The letters are written in such a way as to make people think that they have to have a smart meter when the truth is they don’t.

It is their choice and it is not law.

I have repeatedly stated that I do not want one. I have solar panels and do not want to go around my home switching off appliances.

This morning a man arrived and said he was going to fit a smart meter and I said I didn’t want one.

He said fine it’s your choice. What you are not told is that you are paying for the electricity that runs their meter. It is also doing meter readers out of a job.
