HAVING once made the grievous mistake of voting for Margaret Thatcher (or rather against Michael Foot), the chances of my ever voting Tory again are realistically zero.

Nevertheless, the potential Conservative leader who would tempt me the least is Boris Johnson.

In my opinion he lacks all principles, other than “Boris for boss”, and will say and/or do anything in order to achieve this objective.

In this regard, he is the UK equivalent of Donald Trump, someone who I thoroughly dislike, and for whom I have no respect whatsoever (other than as the US Head of State).

The Conservatives can surely do better than this?
