WEEK after week we hear the Government repeating the ludicrous claim that more people are in work than ever before with many records broken.

But what kind of record – a stuck record?

Today’s stats are meaningless when one hour a week is classed as employment. The traditional job is now spread as thin as a low-calorie cracker.

The biggest Government joke is that there are over 800,000 untaken jobs going begging in the UK. But no one can find them. They are hidden in a cloak of invisibility and as a result you’ll never see yourself working. Finding a job today is a bit like locating Where’s Wally? A children’s cartoon puzzle book where readers try to find a character called Wally hidden in a crowded cartoon strip.
