I WATCHED Wednesday night’s Panorama programme about Whorlton Hall and I've got to say it is the most upsetting programme I have ever seen.
The abuse and physical and mental assaults that those poor patients endured is totally beyond belief.
For the parents of Alex to have to see what their child has been putting up with on a daily basis is heartbreaking.
Well done to the BBC and the Panorama team for bringing this to light and showing us what goes on behind closed doors, however upsetting it is.
Let's hope that this time round some changes are made to the institutional care system to prevent this happening again.
Fortunately Alex has been found more suitable accommodation nearer to her parents and seems to be much happier and settled. I hope she continues to thrive.
