HOW sad that John Gilmore is still preaching his politics of envy (HAS, May 14).

He is critical of Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage having had a public school education but he doesn't seem to mind his two left wing leaders, Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell, having had similar educations.

As for Farage not having achieved much academically, didn't Corbyn drop out of university not having completed some rather undemanding degree course?

Apparently some universities are now admitting students from "poorer backgrounds" with as little as 3 E grades at A level – that's social engineering gone completely insane.
