TODAY (May 8) we read that doctor numbers are falling, at the same time demand is rising, for all the obvious and often discussed reasons.

Can someone tell me why we are allowing massive housing developments around Darlington without the requisite plans for health cover?

Already it is difficult to obtain an appointment at my surgery.

I am sure others will be the same. The demands will only increase. Housing developers seem to build, profit, and move on leaving the problems of increased population on already overwhelmed services behind them. The outgoing Labour council in Darlington seemed to approve of all the expansion.

Will the new councillors see things differently? Just asking.
