FURTHER to article “Praise for councillor as he decides to quit” (Echo, April 20).
The report stresses the many people acknowledging Councillor Tony Richmond’s contribution to local politics as a Darlington Conservative councillor.
The years that I worked alongside Tony in the pre-Tees Valley days he was the perfect person at his job, very professional and diplomatic.
People like Tony leaving local politics will be sadly missed.
