THE annual Town Hall Rich List produced this week by the Taxpayers’ Alliance alleges that last year, Darlington Borough Council’s former chief executive Ada Burns earned £153,750 salary, took a £201,000 pay-off plus pension contributions of £32,902 to make a grand total of £387,652 making her the sixth highest earning council chief exec in the entire country.
How can this be true?
