I AM shocked, and disappointed, to see Theresa May talking to Jeremy Corbyn about a Brexit plan.

As his desires and the Tory manifesto are at odds, it is hard to see anything positive emerging from the discussions.

I can only hope that it is a delaying tactic in the run up to our leaving the European Union with no-deal.

I have no objection to remain voters, but I do worry about the tactics of remain supporters in certain areas who have actively engaged in bringing an end to democracy.

To vote remain was a personal choice but it is difficult to understand anyone choosing European control over British sovereignty.

I can understand why sovereignty might be more important to the older rather than the younger generation.

Perhaps, if we stay under EU control, they may come to understand why.

For me democracy is dead unless the wishes of the 17.4m are upheld and we leave the EU.

If we don’t leave then I will never vote again with, perhaps, one exception. That would be to ensure that Helen Goodman, my MP for the Bishop Auckland constituency, is never put back in power.

MPs are elected to act on our behalf, except when given a clear mandate to do otherwise. Ms Goodman thinks she knows better than all the leave voters in the Bishop Auckland area.

She spouts about saving jobs but says nothing of sovereignty.

Jobs, business and industry can be recreated but sovereignty once lost is unlikely ever to be regained.

If you voted remain, make sure you understand what is at stake here.
