I READ with interest that Amber Rudd has decided to “relax the rules” on disabled pensioners having to go for repeat assessments.

This, if read properly, comes about because her father was blind – he was for quite some time.

I sympathise with her. I know people who are not blind, who have as she says “paid into the system” and who are disabled and blind.

However they are not pensioners. Do they still have to go and be humiliated at these assessments that are mostly carried out by unqualified people?

There is such a thing call age discrimination, Ms Rudd.
