REGARDING the increase in knife crime and the causes for it.
I can easily accept the decrease in police numbers. But, today, whilst watching cartoons with my great grandson it was very noticeable the violence of cartoon characters.
To the extent of one scene where in a fit of temper a cartoon animal/person violently stabbed to death a person in a tent.
My grandson is four in April and is being brought up watching this type of children’s television.
So, I ask, is it any wonder the youth of today look on violent knife crime as par for the course?
I listened to Cressida Dick and Theresa May’s views on the causes behind the increase in knife crime.
I would say look no further than children’s television.
If we are normalising this sort of behaviour is it any wonder violent crime is on the increase.
