LAST week I attended the town’s volunteer fair in the Dolphin Centre.
There was an undeniable sense of pride in the room from a small but dedicated bunch of volunteers who cared passionately about their causes.
What a dreadful shame that not a single politician could turn out and support these individuals and their passion.
There were rows of stalls and stands with eager hopeful co-ordinators hoping to pass on leaflets and information.
No sign of course of a Labour councillor let alone the erstwhile MP Jenny Chapman.
It’s high time this small army of volunteers got some recognition. What a shame Jenny Chapman can’t see that.
