RECENT events in America, particularly concerning the Mexican border, the alleged Russian influence and the numerous resignations and sackings in the US administration simply confirm the long-held view that the election of Donald Trump as president, with no political experience, was fraught with danger.
Mr Trump is having to face reality and understand that day to day scrutiny of his actions is now the norm in his role as president – a completely different scenario from his business world.
The unorthodox way he carries out his duties and the indifference he has shown, not only to his own administrators, but to several world leaders and organisations does not augur well for his future.
Both the UK and the USA have anxious times ahead.
