AS we move ever closer to a no-deal Brexit, I can’t help but wonder how the EU, France and Germany would handle matters if we make it absolutely clear to them, that any disruption, delays to UK exports across the Channel at EU airports, borders and ports will be reciprocated on our side along with no monetary payments whatsoever now or in the future.
It’s clear the EU is desperate for our promised £40bn. Major disruption on their side of the Channel will soon spread to roads and motorways particularly in France.
The French people who appear increasingly disillusioned with the EU and their own government may well use this as an excuse for further violent demonstrations against the Macron government – maybe even forcing Macron to resign.
Stand our ground on this and I’m sure an acceptable deal will be struck before March 29. Brexit here we come.
