BEFORE we indulge in an orgy of blaming Theresa May we should remember who caused this Brexit mess: Messrs. Cameron and Osborne.
The two boy wonders thought a people’s vote would silence the troublesome Eurosceptics in the Conservative party but they got it badly wrong, thanks to their public school over-confidence and total ignorance of a country beyond Westminster.
They quickly departed for their grand estates, leaving others less fortunate to clear up their shambles, bequeathing a fractious Government and, worse, divided country.
Meanwhile they’ll be looking forward to the inevitable rewards for service to the nation, while the rest of us collect a yellow vest.
