ANOTHER crash happened at 6.30pm on Tuesday at the roundabout outside the Manor House Hotel in West Auckland.

A car turning right collided with a car coming straight over the mini-roundabout. Thankfully, nobody was injured.

The number of crashes on this spot must be well into double figures but because there are few injuries, they do not get reported.

I believe that someone will get seriously hurt before long.

I stop when approaching the roundabout if a car is coming straight down because on numerous occasions the oncoming driver has not realised there is a roundabout and has come straight over.

I have contacted the highways department, but it has few records of any accidents, although I have come across four in the last two years – more than most people would see in a lifetime.
