I WAS disgusted to read of the abuse that has been directed towards the bin collectors of County Durham (Echo, Oct 5). These lads carry out a vital service in all weathers and should be applauded and not abused.
Motorists – be patient when behind a bin wagon. It only takes a few minutes of your time and could possibly save someone from being badly injured or worse.
Carry on the good work lads knowing that the vast majority of people fully appreciate the work you do.
