HAVING my niece’s two daughters stopping with me recently on a number of occasions I had to take them to Escomb School in the morning.

This is an experience in itself.

On driving down to the bottom there was a gridlock as cars were unable to go down or up and unable to turn.

I managed eventually to get past and drive down to the Vicarage to turn around and then drive back up to drop the kids off only to be faced with another gridlock with a bus and a wagon attempting to get through.

I was stuck behind four cars when eventually after a couple of cars coming down a gap appeared and I managed to get through.

With cars parked all the way up on one side of the road it makes it very awkward for cars to move up and down.

I am pleased I only have to do it now and again.
