SATURDAY’S paper (Echo, Sept 15) featured an appeal from NHS chief clinical officer, Dr Stewart Findlay for us to discover our heart age via on-line app. I did.
My chronological age is 67.
It determined my heart age at 72!
No questions asked about diet, fitness alcohol intake or general lifestyle.
I am the longest serving member of Darlington Masters Swimming Club, having trained twice weekly for 30 years.
I walk every day and often hit the recommended 10,000 steps daily.
We don’t eat junk or processed food and drink below 14 units of alcohol weekly. My BMI is a healthy 23.9.
Are we supposed to take this test seriously? I don’t!
Howard Wilson, Darlington
