AS exam results roll in this week, I would like to invite readers to remember that it is a special time for teachers too.
As a teacher, we get to witness and celebrate the opportunities the results provide for the young people we work with.
Seeing the look on their faces when they open their results brings such a sense of pride for the teacher who encouraged, inspired and supported each pupil along their own journey.
Teaching is about more than results on paper – it’s about shaping and nurturing the pupils we teach, and often this extends the parameters of the classroom.
How many other jobs can truly change lives?
Teaching really does make a difference and it is a thoroughly rewarding career.
Time to consider it?
