WHY does the Echo use so much American English?
In today’s issue Peter Barron refers to goose bumps rather than goose pimples and Malcolm Warne has ‘drapes’; why not curtains?
Another question: why has granddaughter two ds in the middle and grandad only one? My spell check gives it two.
