IN response to John Crick (HAS, Feb 1), I certainly do not have a political agenda but state what I read and see.
Perhaps he hasn’t had to wait two days for the police to respond to theft in his workplace.
Perhaps he hasn’t had an operation cancelled or waited in the back of an ambulance for six hours to gain admission into accident and emergency.
Perhaps he hasn’t stepped into dog faeces outside his front gate or picked litter out of his front garden on a daily basis.
Yes, Bishop Auckland, like most towns in the UK has a rich historical heritage and I hope this continues, however you can’t ignore the facts and yes Mr Crick, Bishop Auckland is awash with litter.
Negative no, realism yes.
