IT was interesting to read VJ Connor’s comments about his soggy newspaper (HAS, Mar 28).
Our Northern Echo has never been pushed through our letterbox wet.
I think this must be because we have a great set of delivery lads and lasses.
To deliver every day in the recent bad weather we have experienced must be applauded.
One even rang our doorbell to tell us we had left the house keys on the outside.
I do agree with Mr Connor about prefering to read the paper rather than going online.
Another point worth mentioning is the fact that you cannot cover your seedlings with a laptop.
It also comes in handy when I am potting on and do not want compost everywhere.
A big thank you to all the delivery staff in Fishburn who continue to bring my dry newspapers.
Taff Davies, Fishburn.
