PRODUCERS of great North-East food are being sought for a special weekend event later this week.
Middlesbrough’s first ever Incredible Edible Weekend takes place from Friday, March 29 to Sunday, March 31.
The three-day event – the first in a quarterly series – will aim to showcase the sort of healthy home-grown and locally produced food that’s available in and around Middlesbrough.
Teesside University staff and students will be handing out jars of food seeds and compost so people can begin growing micro-greens at home.
Dundas Arcade’s regular market will feature two stalls devoted to locally produced food – perfect for small producers who might normally struggle to fill a stall, with opportunities to engage with potential customers and network with other local producers.
Organiser Joe Dunne said: “There really is something for everyone, whether they’re interested in eating out, buying a few new products or sharing what they produce.
“If anyone has activities planned we’d love to hear from them as well."
